Ingredients

  • 1 to 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 can 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can 10.5 oz condensed cream of cheddar cheese soup
  • 3 cups frozen potato cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned; drain the excess fat. Transfer the cooked beef to a large bowl.
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup, cream of cheddar cheese soup, frozen potato cubes, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the beef. Mix well to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover with foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden.
  • Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a crisp green salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal. This casserole pairs well with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful sauce. For added variation, consider mixing in some sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers.
