Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Nonstick cooking spray for air fryer
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce e.g., Frank’s brand
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Blue cheese dressing for serving

Instructions

  • Season the Wings: Season the chicken wings with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Prepare the Air Fryer: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Cook the Wings: Place the wings in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and cook for 12 minutes.
  • Flip and Continue Cooking: Remove the air fryer basket and flip the wings. Return them to the air fryer and cook for an additional 12 minutes.
  • Crisp the Wings: Increase the air fryer temperature to 400°F (204°C) and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the wings are golden and crispy.
  • Prepare the Sauce: While the wings are cooking, mix the melted butter, hot sauce, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl until well combined.
  • Toss the Wings: Once the wings are done, transfer them to the bowl with the sauce and toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve: Serve immediately with blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken wings with cauliflower florets. Experiment with different sauces like BBQ or teriyaki for varied flavors, and use dairy-free butter to make the recipe dairy-free.
