  • 2 cups Mixed nuts (1 cup pecans, 1 cup almonds) fresh, unroasted
  • 1 cup Small pretzels (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 cup Popped popcorn (lightly salted, cooled)
  • 1/2 cup Mini M&Ms or chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup Honey or light corn syrup (for chewiness)
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher salt (plus a pinch more for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
  • Melt butter, brown sugar, and honey in a saucepan until a glossy caramel forms.
  • Combine cereal, nuts, pretzels, and popcorn in a bowl, then pour the warm caramel over the mix and coat everything evenly.
  • Spread the coated mix on the prepared sheet in an even layer and let it cool for 30-45 minutes before breaking it into pieces.

Notes

Substitutions: Use coconut oil instead of butter for a dairy-free twist; swap honey for maple syrup; try pecan pieces if you love extra crunch.
