Ingredients

  • 4 cups filtered or spring water for clean flavor
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice about 1 large lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine Himalayan pink salt for trace minerals
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey or pure maple syrup or stevia for zero-calorie
  • Pinch ground cayenne pepper optional, metabolism boost
  • 4 fresh mint leaves optional, for garnish and extra freshness

Instructions

  • Pour the water into a clean glass pitcher—filtered or spring water brings out the subtle mineral notes.
  • Stir in the pink salt and let it dissolve fully—about 30 seconds of gentle mixing.
  • Add the lemon juice and honey (or sweetener of choice), whisking until everything blends.
  • Sprinkle in the cayenne pepper if you like a little kick; it’s optional but offers an extra metabolism boost.
  • Tear the mint leaves and drop them in, then give the drink a final swirl—mint adds a cool, refreshing contrast.
  • Chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes—or add ice cubes if you’re in a hurry—and serve over ice with a lemon slice garnish.

Notes

• Letting the drink rest 10 minutes helps all flavors marry—don’t rush it. • If you spot any grit, strain through a fine mesh sieve before chilling. • Adjust the salt to your taste—some like it bolder, others more subtle. • When using stevia, start small and taste as you go; it’s much sweeter than sugar. • Swap mint for basil in summer for a fresh, herbal note.
