Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice about 4-5 medium navel oranges
  • 1 cup whole milk or heavy cream sub almond milk or oat milk for a dairy-free version
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed ice gives a smoother blend
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, honey, or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract look for Nielsen-Massey or McCormick for authentic flavor
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt Chobani or Fage recommended for extra creaminess
  • Pinch salt enhances the citrus notes

Instructions
 

  • Squeeze until you have 2 cups of bright orange juice. Watch for any seeds and remove them.
  • In a blender pitcher, combine orange juice, milk or substitute, yogurt, vanilla, sugar, and salt.
  • Add ice cubes on top. Crushed ice blends faster.
  • Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  • Adjust sweetness or tanginess as needed. Blend again briefly.
  • Pour into chilled glasses and garnish if desired.

Notes

Select oranges that feel heavy for their size for juiciness. Using Greek yogurt adds texture and protein. Enjoy the refreshing, citrus-packed drink right away.
