For Shrimp:

large shrimp
peeled and deveined

unsalted butter

For Mashed Potatoes:

lbs
potatoes
peeled and diced
1/2
cup
milk
1/4
cup
unsalted butter
Salt and pepper

Instructions
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Add milk and butter, then mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the Shrimp:
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
If using, pour in white wine and chicken broth, then simmer for 2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve:
Serve the garlic butter shrimp over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a splash of lemon juice to the shrimp sauce before serving.
