Ingredients

  • 1 oz light rum (e.g., Bacardi Superior)
  • 1 oz dark rum (e.g., Myers’s Original)
  • 1 oz coconut rum (e.g., Malibu)
  • 1/2 oz triple sec or orange liqueur (substitute Curaçao if needed)
  • 4 oz fresh pineapple juice (bottled is okay, but fresh-squeezed tastes best)
  • 1 oz orange juice (preferably pulp-free for smooth texture)
  • 1/2 oz grenadine syrup (look for 100% pomegranate or homemade)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Garnish: pineapple wedge, maraschino cherry, mint sprig

Instructions

  • Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes to chill everything fast.
  • Pour in the light rum, dark rum, coconut rum, triple sec, pineapple juice, and orange juice; watch them swirl around.
  • Drizzle in the grenadine syrup slowly for the signature sunset effect.
  • Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously until frosty, then strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with pineapple wedge, maraschino cherry, and mint sprig for a pop of color. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a sweeter cocktail, add more grenadine. For a lighter twist, swap half the pineapple juice for soda water. Enjoy this tropical drink chilled.
